Taking a role in Operations Project Management for Quan Bui Bistro & Lounge, I was privileged to oversee this exceptional establishment’s development and launch.

My Passion In Internal Operations

One of my key responsibilities was to follow up with the construction team to ensure that the restaurant’s interior design and layout aligned with the investor’s vision. Creating an inviting and authentic atmosphere reflecting Vietnamese cuisine’s essence was crucial. I worked closely with the team to address challenges and ensure high-quality artistry.

Moreover, I set up the entire restaurant, ensuring all elements were in place to create an inviting and authentic Vietnamese dining experience. Recruiting staff for the restaurant was another task I undertook to ensure a smooth operation.

Besides, I curated a cocktail menu that complemented the restaurant’s concept. The intention was to showcase the best Vietnamese cuisine by incorporating local ingredients from the North, Central, and South regions.

Recognising the importance of efficient operations, I designed a comprehensive Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) system that streamlined processes and improved overall efficiency. This system served as a guide for staff members, ensuring consistency and excellence in service.

Collaboration Is The Key

I collaborated with F&B suppliers to organise training sessions to enhance the staff’s product knowledge and operational skills. This helped the team understand the intricacies of each product and provided insights into the overall operation. Additionally, I took the initiative to teach English to the staff, enabling them to communicate effectively with foreign customers and enhance their general communication skills.

My role extended beyond project management and operations. I became a mentor to team members, guiding them in various areas and fostering their growth and development.

Collaboration with the Marketing team allowed us to create engaging activities and host events that attracted customers to the establishment. Working together created a vibrant, welcoming environment that resonated with our target audience.

This project taught me invaluable lessons about leadership, teamwork, and the power of effective communication. It showed me the importance of understanding and responding to the needs of both customers and staff members. In addition, I further honed my abilities in coordinating multiple facets of the operation, from construction to recruitment and marketing.

My time as an Operations Project Manager at Quan Bui Bistro & Lounge was fulfilling and enlightening. It allowed me to showcase my project management and operational skills while leveraging my passion for people and teamwork. Furthermore, it was a journey of growth, learning, and collaboration, inspiring me to take on new challenges and contribute to the success of future projects.
